Red Sea Global (RSG), a global multi-project developer, has collaborated with Zain KSA, a telecommunications and digital services provider in the Kingdom, to launch the world's first zero-carbon 5G network at the Six Senses Southern complex Dunes at The Red Mar in Saudi Arabia.
Designed with both people and the planet in mind, the carbon-free 5G network is the resort's latest technological innovation. The revolutionary 5G network will provide guests with the highest speeds of 5G connectivity in the region.
It will be powered by 100% renewable energy from more than 760,000 solar panels that Red Sea Global has built to power the entire 28,000 square kilometer destination.
The network towers have been designed using innovative 3D printing technology and built to blend harmoniously with the unique and vibrant landscape of the Red Sea. The exterior aesthetics of the to Special Data wer combine perfectly with the natural habitat of the complex. This ensures minimal visual impact and safeguards the environmental integrity of the project.

The project will achieve three main objectives: preserving the environment, reducing emissions through the use of renewable energy and mitigating visual distortion.
“We aim to be global pioneers in the development of regenerative tourism, adopting 100% renewable energy in our flagship destination, the Red Sea, and working to achieve a 30% net conservation benefit by 2040,” said John Pagano, CEO of the Red Sea Global group , in an official statement . “These ambitious goals require ambitious partners, and our collaboration with Zain KSA transcends telecommunications and extends to sustainability and environmental protection.”
The creation of the 5G network aligns with Vision 2030 goals of increasing reliance on clean energy, curbing carbon emissions and protecting the environment.
The Red Sea will open its doors to its first guests later this year. Once completed, it will consist of 50 resorts offering up to 8,000 hotel rooms and more than 1,000 residential properties across 22 islands and six inland sites. The destination will also include luxury marinas, golf courses, entertainment, food and beverage and leisure facilities.
